This antique Japanese ranma features a beautifully executed kumiko lattice pattern, hand-assembled from slender wooden strips without the use of nails. The rhythmic grid, formed by repeating geometric motifs, allows light and air to pass through while maintaining a refined sense of privacy, typical of traditional washitsu (tatami rooms).
