A vintage Japanese three-section Kimono Tansu, known as an Isho Biraki Kimono Tansu, dating back to the Taisho period (1910s–1920s). Meticulously crafted from 100% solid Paulownia wood (Kirinoki), prized for its lightweight yet durable properties, this tansu exemplifies traditional Japanese storage solutions with both functionality and elegance.

The top section features a set of sliding doors and three smaller drawers, originally designed for neatly storing delicate garments. The middle and bottom sections each house large, spacious drawers, providing additional storage for clothing or household items. The subtle wood grain and natural tone of Paulownia add to its understated aesthetic charm, while its timeless design reflects the refined simplicity of Taisho-era furniture craftsmanship.

This tansu is a versatile piece, ideal for collectors or those seeking to incorporate a piece of authentic Japanese heritage into their interior design.
