This is an antique Japanese 3-section Kimono Tansu, known as an Isho Biraki Kimono Tansu, dating to the Taisho period (1910s–1920s). This elegant chest is crafted entirely from solid Paulownia (Kirinoki) wood, prized for its lightweight durability and resistance to warping.

Top Section: Features two sliding doors, three small drawers beneath for additional storage.
Middle Section: Showcases two hinged doors that open to reveal four removable kimono trays, originally used for neatly storing folded kimono.
Bottom Section: Contains three spacious drawers, perfect for larger garments or other belongings.
With its balanced design and traditional craftsmanship, this versatile piece offers both functional storage and timeless Japanese aesthetics. An ideal addition to any home or collection.
