This is an antique Japanese stacking chest called Kiri Kasane Tansu from middle Meiji period (1880's-1890's). It is made of Paulownia (Kirinoki) wood.
Originally used for kimono storage, it would make a great contemporary dresser or linen cabinet.
Each section can be used separately for versatility or stacked together to save space. Each section has carrying handles to easily move from place to place.
