Description

This is an antique Japanese 2 section kimono chest called Kasane Tansu from dated late Meiji period ( 1890's - 1910's).  

It was constructed entirely out of Paulownia wood (Kirinoki) and the iron fittings were all hand made. This is just a simple beauty.

Originally used for the storage of kimono in Japan, this chest would make a great clothes dresser or an elegant storage unit in any home decor.
