Description

This is an 1 section antique Japanese kimono chest called Kasane Isho Tansu dated Middle Meiji (1880's-1890's).

It was constructed entirely from Paulownia wood (Kirinoki) and has Gunpai style handles.

Originally used for the storage of kimono in Japan, this chest would make a great clothes dresser or an elegant storage unit in any home decor.
