Description

This is an authentic antique Japanese stacking stair chest called Kaidan Tansu from middle Meiji (1880's-1890's).  It was constructed with Cypress wood (Hinoki) and Cryptomeria wood (Suginoki). 

The expert craftsman responsible for the commissioned work on this chest to fit in the special space of the house and every inch of this chest has storage room.
