This is an antique 1 section Japanese display chest called Kazari Tana from the Taisho (1910's-1920's). It is made of Japanese Red Pine (Aka Matsu) and Cryptomeria (Suginoki).
The upper area has a pair of sliding doors and 2 large shelves which is ideal to display various items. The bottom area also has a pair of sliding door which can store and organize many pieces.
Used as a store display to visually promote merchandise for sale, many of the glass panels display their natural waviness which developed over a long period of time.
