This antique Japanese flower basket is woven in a dramatic, swirling pattern from broad, smoked bamboo strips, creating a powerful spherical form that feels both rustic and modern. The deep reddish-brown patina, built up over decades of use, accentuates the rhythm of the crossing slats and the subtle sheen of the aged surface.

Designed for chabana and ikebana display, the basket includes its fitted cylindrical bamboo liner with metal band, allowing it to hold water safely while preserving the integrity of the outer weave.
