This antique Japanese conch shell trumpet, known as a horagai, has the distinctive presence of a ritual and signal instrument used in mountain practice and ceremonial settings. The large shell form is complemented by a braided cord net and a fitted metal mouthpiece, creating a striking combination of organic texture and functional craft.
