This is an antique Japanese flower vase for Ikebana, flower arrangement made of bamboo from late Meiji period (1890's-1910's).

The body is beautifully woven by Ajiro Ami, Twill plaiting, or netting plaiting with accent of thick bamboo strips and handles are made by 2 twisted handles.
