Vintage Japanese Cha Tansu Tea Chest 2 Section (23O-C209)
This is a vintage Japanese Cha Dansu, tea chest from the Taisho period (1910's-1920's).
The woods that are used in this tansu are Maple (Momiji), Horse, Chestnuts (Tochinoki) and Paulownia (Kirinoki). It features large a pair of glass on its main display doors, a mini Tokonoma (tea ceremony alcove), a pair of small sliding doors on upper section and various size of compartments on the lower section.
It will make for a great addition to any home, placed in a kitchen, dining room or living room.
