This is an authentic modern Japanese small Hikidashi Tansu, drawers chest made of sukura, cherry bark tree which is famous craft in Kakudate in Akita prefecture.  This craft is called Kaba Zaiku. 

It comes with nice size of drawers so it is ideal to use on your desk to organize various sizes of items.
