This is a vintagev Japanese 3 section Kimono Tansu called Isho Biraki Kimono Tansu from from Taisho period (1910's-1920's).

It was made using solid 100% Paulownia (Kirinoki) wood.

Kiri wood is very light, fine-grained, soft which makes it ideal for clothing chests. With multiple drawers and the sliding top section, this chest is great for holding your children’s clothing and accessories.
