Description

This is a vintage Japanese 3 section Kimono Isho tansu, clothing chest from Taisho period (1910's-1920's). It is one of the more common Japanese chests and consists primarily of drawers, was constructed entirely of Paulownia wood (Japanese Kirinoki). Recessed side handles on each side can be used to lift and move this tansu about. 

Traditionally all clothing were folded and placed in drawers before the influence of the west; therefore, ideal to use any room at your home.
