Description

This is an 2 section vintage Japanese kimono chest called Kasane Isho Tansu dated Taisho period (1910's-1920's). 

It was constructed entirely from Paulownia wood (Kirinoki).

This tansu has 2 drawers on each section so it is ideal to store various items.

Originally used for the storage of kimono in Japan, this chest would make a great clothes dresser or an elegant storage unit in any home decor.
