This is an authentic Japanese wooden Noh mask called Beshimi made by Kokyo Hidari from mid.1900's. Hidari Koyko (1907-) is 7th Jingoro Hidari.

Jingoro Hidari was a sculptor, carpenter, painter architect, actor and professor of art during early Edo period. He is believed to create many famous deity sculptures all over in Japan.

Beshimi mask represents a Tengu who protect others from evil sprits and demons. The oldest form of Beshi mask characteristically the mouth is firmly clenched and metallic gold sets appear to pop out for the faca like this mask.

Beshimi's tense expression creates deep wrinkles on the forehead and forces both ends of the eyebrows to curl upward. Flattened nostrils enlarge the end of the nose. The mask has a rounded jaw, the eyebrows, beard, and mustache of the mask are painted in black. 

It is nicely attached to the frame with ropes, signed and comes in an original wooden box.
