Description

This is an authentic Japanese Yukimi-Doro/Toro or legged stone lantern from late 1900's.

It is made of 4 pieces from Mikage Ishi, Mikage stone. Mikage stone is very hard,resistant to weathering and low water absorption so it is very strong and has been used at temple, and other outside areas for a long time.

Relatively low in height, they were used exclusively in outdoor garden landscapes. The traditional placement of these lanterns was near the water such as a pond or a stream though it would look beautiful in any indoor or outdoor setting.
