Japanese Lacquer Ink Box Kamakura Carving (23O-394)
This is an authentic vintage Japanese lacquered small drawers letter / ink box using the famous Japanese craft known as Kamakura Bori from mid.1900's.
Kamakura Bori is a wood carving and lacquer technique developed in the Kamakura area within Kanagawa prefecture. It is made by carving patterns in wood, then lacquering it with layers of red and black colors after which it is polished to a beautiful sheen.
It has beautiful plum design and has drawer to store writing tools like ink brushes. It comes with calligraphy accessories.
It is good for storing small work items of your accessories.
