Description
This is a Japanese 3 section Kimono Kannon Biraki Tansu called Isho Tansu from late 1900's.  It was made using 100% Paulownia (Kirinoki) wood.

The top section with a pair of sliding doors has nice compartment with small drawers. The middle section has sliding trays and bottom section has various size of drawers. It has beautiful painting in the front.

Originally used for the storage of kimono, this tansu works well to store linens, towels, sweaters, blouses, shirts and all forms of clothes.  It would beautify any home decor as well as add storage, function, and convenience to ones daily life.
