This two-section vintage Japanese cha tansu, or tea chest, from the Taisho era (1920s) is a remarkable example of traditional craftsmanship. The upper section features a set of four small sliding doors at the very top, followed by elegant glass sliding doors that reveal a mix of sliding doors, a shelf, and a small drawer behind them. The bottom section is designed for functionality, with five drawers and additional sliding doors for storage. The body is constructed from sturdy ash wood, while the front is adorned with stunning kagi wood veneer, showcasing a dramatic grain that adds a touch of sophistication to this timeless piece.
