Description

This is an authentic Japanese tea chest called Cha Tansu from late 1900's. Constructed fro Horse Chestnut (Tochinoki), Paulownia (Kirinoki) and other woods. Cha tansu is originally designed for storing and displaying Cha Dogu, tea utensils and equipment used in the Japanese tea ceremony.

Upper section has large pair of sliding glass doors and 4 wooden doors on top. Inside of glass doors provide enough space to store and display accessories and tea utensiles and lower section has 3 drawers and a pair of sliding dooors.

This tansu will make a great addition to any home in living, dining room and foyer.
