This is an antique Japanese Tsubo, Pot (Jar) made of ceramic from late Meiji period (1890's-1910's).

This type of jar is usually used at kichen for Tsukemono pickles or homemade miso.

It has beautiful graze around the edges,  wonderful Mingei folklore art for your home.
