This is a vintage Japanese wooden Tsuitate, a room divider that was hand painted featuring a stunning a pair of peacock from Taisho (1910's-1920's).
Tsuitate were typically used in a Japanese room to separate groups of people. Considered a privacy wall, people would extend the screen with an invisible wall that acts as a make believe sound and physical barrier so that what happens on each side, stays on each side.
