This is a vintage Japanese Ranma, transom made of natural red pine burl, Matsu wood from Taisho period (1910's-1920's).
Transoms are used for ventilation and lighting above sliding doors (Fusuma) between Nihon-ma, Japanese room.
This simple beauty can be displayed from any angles and ideal for bedroom headboard, partition, divider or as a picture in your living room.
