Description

This is a vintage Japanese 3 section Kimono Tansu called Isho Biraki Kimono Tansu from Taisho Period (1920's-1940's). It was made using solid 100% Paulownia (Kirinoki) wood.

The top section has a pair of doors. The middle section has three small drawers and one large drawer underneath.The bottom section has two large size drawers.

The trays are traditionally used to store properly folded Kimono, these trays are ideal for storing sweaters, shirts, blouses and linens in today's contemporary home.

Separating the sections allows for placement in different rooms which adds to the versatility of these chests.
