Vintage Japanese Kanto Mizuya Tansu 2 Section (23F-E17)
This is a vintage Japanese 2 section Kanto Mizuya Dansu , Kitchen chest from Kanto region from Taisho period (1910's-1920's). Stunning look of this tansu is coming only from Zelkova (Keyaki) wood and is also made of Cypress (Hinoki) and Cryptomeria (Suginoki) woods. A pair of sliding doors are decorated with fine lattic works.
Mizuya Dansu was most likely used in the kitchen of a Japanese household for the storage of plates, utensils and food items. Since this chest has many types of drawers and cabinets, it is very useful for today’s modern kitchen to store dishes and utensils.
