This two-section vintage Japanese Cha Tansu, or tea chest, dates back to the Taisho era of the 1920s, reflecting the craftsmanship and design sensibilities of that period. The upper section features a set of four small sliding doors at the top, ideal for storing smaller items or tea utensils. Below these are sliding glass doors that reveal a mix of sliding doors, a shelf, and a small drawer, offering ample storage and display space for your tea sets or cherished items.

The bottom section includes three drawers and additional sliding doors, providing even more storage options. The body of the drawers is crafted from kiri wood, known for its lightweight and durable qualities, while the front of the chest showcases a beautiful ash burl wood veneer, adding rich texture and elegant visual appeal. The overall structure is made of solid ash wood, ensuring both strength and longevity. This Cha Tansu not only serves as a versatile storage solution but also brings a touch of Taisho-era Japanese tradition and sophistication to any interior.
