This is an authentic antique Japanese 2 section Kasane Isho Tansu used for kimono and textile storage from Middle Meiji period ( 1880's - 1890's).

Made entirely of Paulownia wood (Kirinoki) with handmade iron fittings, this versatile chest of drawers could be used separately, side by side, or stacked together to complement any home decor.
