Vintage Large Japanese Maneki Neko Cat (23O-257-1)

This is a vintage Japanese Maneki Neko known as a Beckoning Cat from mid.1900's. 

It was entirely hand made and hand painted. Designed as a coin bank, it has a coin slot atop the back side of its head.

This cat has very interesting long eyes lush and carries Koban, gold coin with the word, Kaiun, good fortune, also on the neck has writing "fuku" which means luck.

Raising its left paw, it is beckoning good luck and happiness for its owner. It would make a great welcoming mascot for any entry to a home or business.
