This is a vintage Japanese 3 section Kimono chest called Isho Tansu from Taisho period (1910's-1920's).
It was constructed from Paulownia (Kirinoki). It comes in various size of compartments and with a key. Originally used to store Japanese Kimono, its present day use would function well as a clothes dresser or fancy linen cabinet.
