This is an authentic Japanese large hand cast bronze Kaeru sculpture, frog from mid. 1900's.
Kaeru in Japan is symbolice of ferility and good fortune and "return" in Japanese is Kaeru, so it can be linked with things or people returning to their place of origin, that is why frog is placed by the entrance to return home safe in Japan.
