Vintage Japanese Cha Tansu Tea Chest (23M-C114)
This a vintage Japanese 1 section tea chest called Cha Tansu from Taisho period (1910's-1902's).
It was constructed out of Japanese Mulberry (Kuwanoki), Horse chestnut (Tochinoki) and Paulownia (Kirinoki).
This cabinet was used to store tea sets and items used for tea service to entertain guests.
There are enough storage and display as well as an attractive and beautiful wood grain.
