Vintage Japanese Cha Tansu (22S-C19)
This a vintage Japanese 1 section tea chest called Cha Tansu from Taisho (1910's-1902's). It was constructed out of Maple(Momiji),Japanese Persimmon (Kakinoki), Horse chestnut (Tochinoki) and Paulownia (Kirinoki) woods.
The tea chest was typically used in a Japanese home in the room similar to the western living room. It was used to keep items for casual tea service as well as storage for an assortment of items for the home.
It has great contrast of different colors and various size of storage is perfect for your storage.
