Vintage Japanese Bronze Hawk Okimono (23M-117)
This is a vintage Japanese Okimono of hawk, display art of Taka on the stand made of iron from early 1900's. Bird come apart from the stand so it is easy to transport and put it away.
It has vivid and impressive details. It is considered is a king in the sky from long time ago and known as auspicious motif.
Hawk was always favorite bird among Samurai Busho since it represents power, authority so this Okimono was popluar display art object.
