This is an antique Japanese Omikoshi (Mikoshi), sacred religious palanquin / portable Shinto shrine from Taisho period (1910's-1920's). Often, the Mikoshi resembles a  miniature building with pillars, walls, a roof,a veranda and railing. 

The bottom panels have 2 holes for wooden poles to go through so men can carry it during Omatsuri festival.

This kind of antique is hard to find and will be great to add to your collection.
